What Is A Full Queen Size Comforter?
Full Queen size comforters generally measure between a large full and a small queen (a rule of thumb is 88 x 88). It is common practice for department stores to offer a full/queen size comforter for their customers. Usually this is done to reduce sku count or to hit a price point. In the end we always hear complaints from consumers as the full/queen bedding is typically a smaller queen which is too short or narrow for a queen bed.
Some stores label their queen size comforters as full/queen size- but in reality those items are what we call an oversized queen. On our website we call items as they are - so if you truly want an oversize queen you just have to look for that size. Because some of our items are overstocks we maintain the size used on their packaging on our website. If you do have a full size bed thebn a full/queen comforter is a great option for you as they tend to be bigger fulls.
Should I buy a Full Queen Duvet Cover?
Generally we recommend adding a duvet protector to make care and maintenance easier. Always be sure to buy a cover that is plus or minus two inches in size of the comforter. It is better that the comforter be slightly tighter in a duvet. For fine fabrics such as high thread count sateens, intricate damasks or batiste we advise to skip duvets simply because you will not see or feel the amazing fabric. All of our comforters feature leak proof fabric so that the filling whether down or down alternative does not come out.
