Unlike most feather beds this model uses a 10/90 White Goose Feather blend on the bottom for the ultimate in softness. Topped with a dream worthy layer of 550 fill power White Goose Down for extra softness. This is one of our plumpest feather beds measuring 5 plus inches in height on the bed!
The bottom of the featherbed features a special horizontal baffle channel construction making sure your torso is adequately supported. The top of this feather bed features baffle boxes to allow the White Goose Down top stay evenly separated and fluffy.
Please note that this style of feather bed requires daily fluffing. When placing on the bed - the feather bed is supposed to have the bottom channels run horizontally. As a result when you lay on the properly fluffed feather bed the filling almost surrounds you. It is common that when two people sleep in the same bed the filling will migrate towards the center. Hence, you need to know up front that this feather bed needs to have the filling moved back towards each persons side and not in the middle. We have received comments from customers who love this or hate this style featherbed. If you have any doubts on how to take care of it please contact Stefan Hunter. We have a few videos which who how to do this 'fluffing' - but basically you are punching the middle filling back towards your side of the bed and then shaking vigorously each corner of the feather bed. Many of our customers find this additional work cumbersome and gravitate towards the baffle box styles such as the Deluxe 10/90 or even the Reversible Feather Bed - both of which are 'easier to care for.

Featherbeds are too big to place in even the biggest washing machine (both home and commercial)- so be sure to buy a feather bed protector for preventative maintenance. In the event of a spill or significant soiling they can be dry cleaned - it will just be expensive. Some of our customers like to use a water resistant or water proof mattress pad on top to prevent and spills (great for dogs & kids).
