We often get asked this type question 'I see high thread count pillows in the stores - does it matter?' Well in most cases those pillows use a high thread count pillow protector on the outside - but the inside pillow uses the same 230 thread count cambric cotton fabric. We always suggest adding a pillow protector to any pillow and you can browse our pillow protector sale section for various options. 230 TC cambric cotton tends to be the most down proof and durable fabric choice. Some customers like a cool touch fabric like Tencel Lyocell and we often have some available for sale (we also sell Tencel Lyocell Pillowcases in sets).
Pillow Care & Maintenance Information:
These pillows feature a leakproof fabric weave and are machine washable and dryable. We strongly recommend adding a pillow protector for added protection from skin oils and makeup. I stayed at a hotel using one of the downlite pillows and called and spoke to a sales person to figure out which density to buy. The property I was at used the 'soft' density - but I got the medium anyways. This is a very nice, clean smelling pillow - and to boot its made in the USA.
