Old Fashioned Sleeping Bags

DOWNLITE recently went through our warehouse and found some older style sleeping bag shells in mint condition. Unlike modern sleeping bags these featured a thick and durable cotton twill fabric - great for hearty adventrues.

These sleeping bags use an all cotton shell - so they are not water proof and should be kept dry. Available in red and green - these classic colors reverses to an interior white color cotton. Durable zipper and easy care construction mean these can be machine washed and dried. We have two styles available:

• Box Stitch Down Filled - In 2 Color Choices (Red or Green) - RED SOLD OUT
• Karo Step Polyester Filled - In 2 Color Choices (Red or Green) - Both SOLD OUT

Box stitch is a construction style where the filling is sewn in place and can not move - great for down. Karo step is a construction style that does not stitch the filling all the way in place - so you can move the filling to wherre you want more or less warmth. Our down alternative used int he karo step styles is a cluster polyester ball that stays in place but can be moved with gently pushing of the filling in a direction.

These run slightly longer and are adult sized - great for extra cottage guests or light backpack adventures. The bags measure 60 x 86 inches.

These have a down fill and weight that makes them suitable for 15 degrees. These rectangular sleeping bags are made right here in the USA using our hypoallergenic down filling. We used 30 oz of our grey down in the down filled models.
