What Is A Twin XL Size Comforter?
Twin XL size comforters (also called extra long comforters) generally measure 68 x 92. Twin XL bed comforters are designed to fit on a specially sized dorm bed. Becasue these beds are longer they require a longer then normal twin comforter. In a pinch you could get by with an oversized twin measuring 68 x 88 but we strongly recommend getting the correct size for the dorm room.
Most retail stores and catalogs carry Twin XL size comforters during the back to school season between July and August. It is hard to find Twin XL Bedding except during that time frame. Some tall students may also have a need for a Twin XXL comforter - but our 68 x 92 comforters fit perfectly for both needs. Please note that you would need a special mattress pad for the Twn XXL - even longer then our Twin XL Mattress Pads.
We also suggest using a Twin XL for an king adjustable bed application where sleeping partners require different warmth levels.

Should I buy a Twin XL Duvet Cover?
When buying for a dorm room absolutely! Not only will it add color to the room but it helps keep the pizza/soda and feet off of the comforter itself. Generally we recommend adding a duvet protector to make care and maintenance easier. Always be sure to buy a cover that is plus or minus two inches in size of the comforter.
